2025 Kit Gilbert Juried Showcase

The Gilbert center hosted the Inaugural Kit Gilbert Juried Showcase, an exhibition honoring a Ruston artist, Kit Gilbert. Open to artists across the United States working in all media, the showcase sought to recognize outstanding contemporary work while celebrating Gilbert’s lasting impact on the arts community. 

The call for entries received an overwhelming response, with more then 350 submissions from artists across the country. Following a careful juried selection process, approximately 35 artists were chosen for inclusion in the final exhibition, representing 17 different states. 

The exhibition was presented from November 17th 2025 to January 9th 2026, bringing together a diverse range of artistic perspectives and highlighting the breadth of contemporary artistic practice. The showcase was supported through submission fees and the generosity of sponsors, and a printed exhibition catalog was produced to document and celebrate the selected artist and their work.

The Gilbert Center is proud of the success of this exhibition and grateful to the many artists who participated. The Kit Gilbert Juried Showcase reflects a continued commitment to fostering artistic excellence while honoring Ruston's noble artists.
