2023 Festival Recap

Peach Festival: During June, RLCF again helped sponsor the Louisiana Peach Festival in Ruston, Louisiana. Our book, A Distant Beauty, was featured in the Creative Exchange booth in the Peach Arts Market, with over 20,000 visitors attending. The Peach Fest is a great community event in Downtown Ruston, near the RLCF office, supporting many regional artists and businesses.

Sunflower Festival: RLCF presented art by Ruston artist Kit Gilbert in the Lynn Farms Commissary. Continuing the tradition we sponsored the Sunflower Festival youth photography contest with winners being awarded cash prizes for their work(s). During this year's Sunflower Festival, the Village of Gilliam dedicated their community park in memory of Karen Logan who was a friend and founding board member of RLCF. Karen's work and life was dedicated to many community and area non-profit organizations making each place she committed her time help impact those being served in a powerful way.
